Article Marketing - Self Promotion is Valuable Content

The first time someone told me I should write articles and post them for FREE, I nearly died of shock and shame. Aren't my articles worth money?

Of course they are!

Articles you market yourself with are ADS you do NOT have to pay for? How can that be?

What else would they be?

* You show your readers your expertise with informative content you create.

* You share your information in a way that leaves them searching for more (at your website).

* You give your reader a reason to visit your website.

* You share links and content.

* You take up real estate online and offer something of value.

IS marketing yourself a valuable and cost effective project? OF course it is.

How much better it is to prove your ability through content provision with your own bio at the bottom than an ad you pay someone to create for you, and pay to post? Can you imagine a more feasible manner of marketing your business than to give your reader a sample of what you do in content format that magnetically attracts targeted traffic your way?

Most articles I write are viewed at least 20 times a week, and reposted at least 10 times. I don't have a clue how many time's they're viewed on other sites. But my lists are steadily growing, which says they're popular.

Writing is what I do to earn my living. I have to promote myself. I'd rather do it with my own copy than to pay someone else to do it for me. Promotion is income!

Article Marketing - Revealed - 5 First Secrets to Supercharge Your Article Marketing

Article marketing has earned the nods of millions of webmasters. However, there are still quite a few who do not fully understand the process and particularly concern about duplication of content that may result from submitting the same article to various publishing sites. Some webmasters are wary as they do not wish to be penalized by major search engines particularly by Google.

In this article I will discuss the first 5 secrets to supercharge your article marketing by using article as your website content and article marketing material without worrying about content duplication and penalties from search engines.

1. Use only original articles on your website. You are the only one who have control over your webpage, so you must be particularly careful on the content that you will put in it. To avoid duplication, make sure that your website content is fresh, unique, and all original. By doing so, you can please search engines and you will avoid penalties for content duplication.

2. When you decide to do article marketing, make sure that you post your article on your website first. This is to alert the search engines that your content is original and cannot be found elsewhere. Submit the articles to publishing sites after 5-7 days, giving enough time for search engines to acknowledge your content on your website.

3. When you are ready to submit to publishing sites, prioritize the best, most popular article submission sites. These sites are constantly searched by webmasters and publishers so they can get articles that will be republished.

4. Once done with the major publishing sites, you can then post your articles to other not-so popular article submission sites, blogs, forums, and social networking sites.

5. To better position yourself as a great source of information, make sure your consistently write and submit articles on a regular basis.

How To Write Keyword-Rich Content For Maximum Impact

Millions of companies are using keyword-rich articles in order to gain free exposure all over the Internet. Whether you're an online marketer a product or a writer looking for freelance work, chances are you can benefit greatly from keyword articles.

You may ask yourselves: But what good are keywords? What you want, when you are marketing a product is for people to be able to easily find you. The methods you are using while searching for something specific, are the same methods all the Internet users out there utilize, that is keyword search.

You shouldnt be reluctant in writing keyword-rich articles, even though youve never done this before. It is nothing different than writing regular pieces of content. All you need to do is simply follow these easy guidelines for keyword writing and get ready to have readers pour in!

- Learn the buzzwords.

Every industry has its own jargon and language. If youre a master in your field, its quite easy to identify the keywords and you don't need to read up on it. If youre writing about a relatively new subject for you, do some additional research. Read several different articles to get an idea of the language used and the most popular sub-categories of the field.

- Write the article without focusing on the keywords.

When writing an article, its best not to focus on the keywords so much; dont let yourself carried away by time-wasting word-selection, which might prevent you from writing in a natural manner. If you know what youre writing about, then keywords will smoothly fall where you want them to, without effort, and you will get your keywords without even knowing.

- Determine the popularity of your keywords.

Uses the Overture Keyword Selector Tool to find out how many times your visitors have used keywords that directed them to your site.

Type in the word and hit return.

- Select keywords that are specific rather than general.

If I was to write an article on negotiating fees with a freelance copywriter, then I would use popular keywords, related to my topic, such as "Freelance copywriting rates" as this is probably something a potential visitor would actually type.

- Scan your existing text for keywords

After completing your draft and selecting your keywords, put them together. Try to find the first keyword. You might as well have slipped it there, if you knew how to write your article.

- Find and Change

Instead of using the word writing in your article about copywriting, copywriting should be a better choice. Change all these keyword-phrases and re-order some of your sentences.

- Proofread your article

Read the text again, now that you have changed it, take time to correct it; check for spelling mistakes, etc. Try not to repeat the same word, and try to make your vocabulary as varied as possible.

- Include the keywords in your headline

You will usually come up with the best headline for your article at the end of the writing process, and not before, so wait until you finish and then you will get the best hard-hitting headline.

Are you feeling more comfortable now about keyword article writing? You can start making money by writing keyword-rich content for the world.

Article Marketing - Getting Backlinks To Your Website

The whole reason for submitting articles to article directories is to get "backlinks" to whatever site you want boosted up in the search engine results. But you also get immediate traffic from folks following these backlinks directly to your website...Where they will arrive in the perfect mindset to buy your product or affiliate product (if you've done a little keyword research beforehand.)

But the links need to be crafted a certain way. So you need to get this right. They need to be "text links," otherwise known as "anchor text." We'll cover exactly how to do this in a moment.

These backlinks are simply links back to your site from your "author's resource box," like the one at the end of this article. Your author's resource box is where you get to do some self-promotion. Usually, you're not allowed to promote your product or website in the main body of the article. After all, articles are supposed to be just that--articles; otherwise they'd be called advertisements!

Look at the author resource box at the bottom of this article. There's two important things you need to know about the first blue link in the author's resource box:

1. "article marketing" is a "text link," a.k.a. "anchor text" instead of http://honestysellsbest.com/How_To_Make_Money_Online.html#Article_tutorial (which is the actual link URL). The search engines, especially the biggest one--Google--reward you for text links and not URLs...

The resource box section of some article directories will "parse" the html code into normal, "readable" text, making it look like the resource "box" you see at the end of this article.

(The html code you need to use to make a text link is covered in the Article Marketing Tutorial section of my website--click the text link in the resource "box" at the end of this article. Creating text links is only a matter of a couple clicks when using your html editor, however, you have to "hand code" the html into the author's resource box.)

2. "article marketing" is a researched keyword phrase and is the title of the webpage that it links to.

If you take a little time to research a keyword phrase to use as your link text, you will be rewarded with many more visitors to your website than if you used anchor text that is not a searched-for keyword phrase.
