Instead of business as usual (television, radio, print), companies must now adapt their advertising and marketing efforts to embrace a new breed of web-savvy consumers to secure such ripe online opportunities. This is due to the fact that traditional consumers have shifted the way they perceive, search and acquire information as a result of search engines, this known as Online Marketing.

Online marketing is defined as the selling of products on the Internet. Online marketing, (also known as web marketing, search engine marketing, SEO or internet marketing) is vital in today's internet savvy world.

Advantages of online marketing is taking place wherein it is globally accessible. This is the greatest advantage of online marketing using the website. Unlike traditional marketing, it requires you to select a medium such as: print; radio; television; mail shots etc. to advertise your product in regions or nationally. You can interpolate your offline and online campaigns, outsource e-commerce work to cheap and efficient third party resources and thereby lower your marketing budget, and battle test new creative ideas. Also, more consumers of every type, not just B2B buyers and corporate executives, now routinely use broadband service. This means that you can reach practically your full spectrum of customers.

The good news is that it's not too late to make up the ground. An intelligently pursued ad campaign that takes advantage of technologies, builds in a redundant infrastructure, and measures consumer responses can quickly outpaced even a well-established competitor online ad plan.

Many advantages are not yet disclosed but those few above are the major advantages that acquaints us of what online marketing could do to help and serve consumers for their wants and needs. Whether we call it as an Online Marketing, Web Marketing, SEO, or Internet Marketing, still it gives an easy way and a good avenue to market your product efficiently to those web-savvy customers.

Advanced Article Marketing Secrets - Learn How To Turn A Reader Into A Paying Customer

Article marketing is a really good way to promote your business. Unfortunately, I see very few people who make the most of it and get it to work for them.

The main problem is that very few people will actually get it right. Those who do will earn an insane amount of money online. In this article I would like to go over the steps that you need to take to monetize your article traffic.

When you create your website I suggest that you develop a high converting squeeze page. You will include a link to this page in your resource when you submit your articles to directories. Let us examine in detail why you would want to do this. If you send your visitor a sales page it will be very unlikely that they will buy from you the very first time. The best way to do this is to first capture the name and email address.

This allows you to send an ecourse and first warm your prospect up. This will significantly improve your conversion. It allows you to first develop a relationship with your prospect before you sell to them. Now the really important part is that you will build a database of leads that you can market to over and over again. Which would you prefer a one time sale or repeat sales from loyal customers.

Unfortunately, very few article marketers do this. Many market an affiliate product directly by including their own domain name which redirects to an affiliate product. Consequently they are leaving big money on the table.

Are you really interested in driving massive traffic to your website?

How Free Content Publishing Strategies Can Help You To Generate Sales!

Now I know what you're thinking.

"Free content is free. How can i ever make money out of it?"

Now these strategies I'm going to describe to you has worked for thousands of Internet marketers who want to promote their products. These Internet marketing strategies have been proven to generate more sales and profit.

1.E-Book Chapter

If you've written an e-book or you have a PLR e-book then this strategy will work wonders for your business!

Here it is...

This Internet marketing strategy is to help you build your list of subscribers and also help you to generate sales. The first thing you should do when you are using this free content strategy is to vigorously promote the 'benefits' of the e-book on your website. Make sure you are asking your visitor to give you their name and email address in order to receive the free e-book chapter.

One extremely effective method that is commonly used online for this is the "name capture page" which is a page that explains the the benefits of the free chapter you are giving away and makes it mandatory that the visitor give you your name and email address before they can proceed.

Now, in this free chapter, make sure you include the content page of the e-book so that the customer can see what this e-book will cover. Make the titles of the content page are catchy and that they appeal to the needs and wants of the customer. This will make them excited and increase the interest for your e-book.

In the free chapter, it is best to include the abstract and the first chapter of the e-book. This is because your abstract and the first chapter of your e-book is preparing and bracing your customer for the benefits the book is going to provide to them. So, when your customer has read the content page, abstract and the first chapter, lead them on with a second e-mail that shows them the link to buy the e-book. This strategy is great, because it focuses on the sales impact of the customer when the customer is "hot" and burning up for more information.

2.Organize a Seminar

You can organize a small seminar or a podcast session online for customers to listen to you. For example if you're doing a presentation at a hotel, give information to people who are planning to build an online business and what they can do to make it come about.

When you give them information on different business systems they can delve into the Internet, for example, they would then be interested as to how they are able to pursue it. Then, it would be the best time for you to promote the product you're selling.

Sell the product as if it is available for a limited time only. Give a special promotion to them so that they can take action at that moment itself. For example, you can say that the first 8 people to buy your product can get a free consultation and a very special high-priced product from you.

These two strategies are very clever and innovative. Free content can do wonders to your business. It is how you apply it correctly to achieve success.

Article Marketing - Latest 5 Challenging Steps to Energize Your Article Marketing

A lot of online entrepreneurs and marketers have made article marketing as their primary marketing tool because of one, simple obvious reason: it delivers! It can easily drive quality traffic to your website, help you position yourself as a key person in your chosen industry, and increase your sales potential and online profits in no time.

Here are the latest 5 challenging steps to energize your article marketing:

1. Optimize your content. Learn how to please various search engines so they will properly index your articles. This can be done by identifying the keywords that play crucial roles in your target niche and using them all throughout your content. You must also be familiar with appropriate keyword density so you will not be tagged as a keyword abuser or spammer.

2. Your articles must be easy to understand. Don't leave your readers puzzled or wondering what you are trying to get across after they have read your articles. They must be able to understand your ideas by just reading your articles once so you will not waste their time. Avoid using offbeat acronyms or unfamiliar terms all throughout your content. Instead, stick with simple terms that are usually being used by your readers so they can easily understand your message.

3. Make each word work for you. Make sure that all the words you use in your content can help you educate your readers or make them understand your points. If any of the words do not serve this purpose, they are considered fillers and they must be removed from your articles to make them concise and direct to the point.

4. Use anchor texts on your resource box. Based on researches and various studies, people online respond better to anchor texts compare to absolute URLs because they are usually based on relevant keywords that readers can easily identify with. Take advantage of this and use up to two anchor texts on your resource box to easily increase your conversion rate.

5. Insert a powerful call to action on your resource box. Direct your readers to act on your favor by learning the art of persuasion. Do you want them to visit your website, sign-up on your email marketing list, or fill-up a survey for you? Whatever it is that you would like them to do for you, communicate it directly by using powerful words that can evoke action.

Internet Home Business Idea - Make 100s of Dollars Spreading Articles

Why does article marketing work to drive traffic to your internet home business idea?

Have you ever tried article marketing and have failed? Or worst have you ever heard someone saying that article marketing does not work to drive traffic to your internet home business idea.

If you answered yes then make sure you read this article. The purpose of this article is to show you exactly why people fail and how you can save time doing this article marketing thing and get killer response and traffic.

Here are some benefits of article marketing...
1. Helps to attract free traffic.
2. Boosts up your credibility.
3. Traffic converts extremely well.
4. Gives you top search engine ranking for your website.
5. Gets you hundreds of incoming links to your website.

Here are some reasons why article marketing does not work for some people and how it can work for you...

Reason 1 - Killer Title.

The most important part is to write a killer title. Your title should have a keyword in it, this will take you to the top in the search engines. Stress on benefits in your article that your readers will receive. Also focus on the problems that your readers are facing, this will get their attention.

Reason 2 - Article Opener and Content.

Write an attention grabbing article opener that makes sure that your reader reads more. Write your article in bullets or point format with multiple sub-headlines, as I have done in this article. This will retain the attention of your readers till the end.

Reason 3 - Give a Call to Action.

Tell your readers exactly where to go in your bio. Instead of speaking about yourself in the bio give them a benefit they will receive if they visit your website.

Reason 4 - Build a List.

Instead of selling something in your article make sure you focus on building your list by giving them something for FREE in your bio.

Reason 5 - Focus on Quality and Quantity.

People write 10 articles and get tired and cry that they have not received any traffic. You will see some decent traffic coming into your website only after you have touched minimum 100 articles and it has spread all around. YES, it is hard work. Make a plan of writing 10 quality articles daily and keep spreading them. You will soon see your website going out of control with all the traffic it receives.

Reason 6 - Lack of Time.

Ok so you don't have time writing articles. Hire freelance writers to do it for you. You will get many who will be glad to write articles for you at 'Elance' and 'Rent A Coder'.

Reason 7 - Boring to Submit Articles.

There's a solution. Get an article distribution service like 'Article Marketer' and they will submit your articles to hundreds of article directories with a click of a button. The 7 reasons mentioned above are the main reasons that leads to failure and success of any article marketing campaign.

Focus yourself in applying the above 7 tips in your article marketing campaign and you will easily find success in driving quality traffic to your internet home business idea.

Writing Articles is One of the Affordable Internet Marketing Methods

You will see the millions of searches done to a certain keyword. These keywords when typed on search boxes of search engines will generate indexed websites containing articles with those keywords. This is what leads traffic to websites with keyword-rich articles. So, the magic word is articles, articles, articles! You can't have too many.

Obviously content is of the utmost importance. Writing articles is one of the most utilized Internet marketing media today. Internet surfers just can't seem to get enough of information on various subjects. Articles provide information, therefore, this is a great way to drive hot traffic to your web site.

You might at this point be wondering why! Let's take a brief look at the benefits that writing articles can give your Internet business

1. It's absolutely free

Sounds too good to be true doesn't it. Well it is true. You do, of course, have to pay for your Internet Service Provider. That's it. After that, all you need is your computer and your thoughts. Then turn those thoughts into articles that you then can put on your website. That really doesn't cost you much does it? Well it does cost you your time, but well worth it!

2. Your website will get noticed in a short period of time.

Submit your article to article directories that get the most web traffic. You will notice that your website will start to get traffic. Don't forget to include your resource box or byline, though.

3. Automatically obtain back links

When you submit your articles to directories usually other websites will make use of your article, too. With the copyright terms of your articles, the URL of your website will still be in tact and will in turn help to direct more traffic to your website.

4. Improve your reputation

You will need to do more than just display your products on your website. You will not gain as much conversion rate just by doing this alone. Conversion is when your traffic converts to sales. So by writing articles you can show that you are knowledgeable in your field. Therefore, increasing your sales.

Get those creative juices flowing. Jot down some ideas quickly to jumpstart your article. Then just let the article momentum go from there.

SEO Contests vs Day to Day SEO

Search engine optimization or SEO as it is widely known as to those in the internet marketing business, is the art of making a web site attractive to search engines. The result of having a site that is attractive to search engines is having the web site rank well for a given key word or key phrase.

In an SEO Contest, the execution of the art becomes slightly skewed. For instance, the first rule of SEO should be to build your site for the people and not for the search engines. However, the contest environment is vastly different. For one thing, SEO Contests are short lived. You are aiming for short term results quickly, the tactics you might use could end up getting you penalized by engines such as Google in the long term but can be beneficial for a contest lasting only a few months.

One such tactic is keyword stuffing. For instance, in the ambatchdotcom seocontest the top 3 contestants average keyword density is 50% of the title, 3% of the body, 8% in H tags, 15% in links. On the other hand, the top ranking site in Google for the key phrase "SEO Strategy" has 0% in the title, .2% in the body, 0% in H tags and 2.3% in links.

Clearly keyword density does not matter much in the long run but to achieve quick results, it is one of the tactics used in contests.

Obtaining links from other websites (backlinks) is THE first line tactic used to rank your website high in the search results. Typically one would attempt to obtain links from related web sites using a variety of anchor texts with target keywords. It is also desirable to "deep link" to internal pages and not just links to your main page.

In an SEO contest, participants are more likely to stick to using only the target keyphrase for their anchor text and they are also more likely to link solely to the main page of the site as well. In the long term, sites with better and more varied backlinks would quickly over take these contest sites in the search engine results.

Finally, in the backlink equation is relevancy. It's not very difficult in normal circumstances to find a site that is related to your target keyword. If your content is valuable, over time you will obtain organic links, that is, other webmasters will voluntarily link to your site as a resource. You can also trade links with sites sharing your theme and even buy links on related sites. In an SEO contest, finding a related site is difficult because the keyword or key phrase doesn't typically exist therefore relevancy is non existent.

So in SEO contests it becomes a matter of quantity and quality rather than relevance of the links. Participants in the ambatchdotcom seocontest have backlinks from every imaginable type of site and as long as Google doesn't catch up with the contest, and make it's determination of what is relevant, it's likely that relevancy wont be an issue.

In conclusion, while the same strategies exist for day to day SEO and SEO contests, some strategies weigh more heavily and that is due to the duration of the contest. Web sites should be built for people first and then fine tuned for search engines. Webmasters must never loose sight of this all important fact. The bottom line is that no matter how high your site ranks in the search engine results, if it doesn't attract a visitor and does not contain content worth reading then your visitors will not stay and they will not return. That is real world SEO.

Simple Steps to Effective Online Marketing

The internet is no longer a 'new' technology. More and more people are going online daily to not only play online games and other 'activities', but to conduct actual research and comparative shopping before making a purchase. People come to the internet for answers to questions or solutions to problems. With that in mind, it's easy to say that any home business not making use of the internet to advertise their business, services and products are not making the most of their advertising effort and dollars and are probably losing important customers. It is very simple and cost-effective to advertise online and there are many marketing tools that you can use to create an online presence. Regardless of the marketing system you use, online marketing starts with generating traffic or visitors to your website. So primarily, you need to create your website to connect with customers and display information about your services and products.

There are many ways to market your website and business online, but some basic concepts always apply.

When you're building your website, keep in mind that effective sites should be easy to navigate, have fast download times and contain good quality and informative content. In order to communicate with your customer base, make sure you include in your website an opt-in email system so that you can collect customer names and email addresses for future marketing. While a visitor is on your site, it's good to encourage them to bookmark your site. If they do, chances are, they will visit again. Another important part of effective online marketing is to make sure your site is regularly updated. Occasionally provide new resources or information, and try offering freebies like ebooks, reports and ezines. Every professional online marketer must include contact information on their website and will create a memorable domain name. Look for a specific "domain name" that speaks of your products as well as it is catchy.

Once you've built your website it's then time to submit your website in search engines. Nobody will discover your website if you do not announce it. Submit it to the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN first, and then it will be picked up by the smaller ones. Do not pay someone to submit your website url to the search engines; it's a waste of money. In order to increase your traffic, you should immediately begin exchanging links with other sites and blogs. Exchanging links is effective in exposing your website to individuals who are interested already in the subject matter that has something to do with your site. Look for other successful websites whose content is related in your subject and propose link exchanges. Another option and good way to increase traffic and exposure to your website is by joining forums and message boards and then begin to network with the other members. You can gain helpful contacts and information that will further your own business at the same time.

If you are serious about building your business to the level you desire, then by all means begin planning your online marketing efforts now. Home and offline businesses that are using the internet to further their ventures are losing business and customers and not making the most of their advertising budget. Simple online marketing can be done by anyone who is willing to learn or seek out the help of professionals who are available for consultations. Bring your business into the future by taking the leap into online marketing and advertising.

The Hidden Benefits of Article Marketing

Many people who are looking for ways to get traffic to their website are familiar with article marketing. The way it works is actually quite simple. You write an article that is based on a long tail keyword phrase and post it to a website that has weight in the eyes of Google. One of the most popular places to post these particular articles is EzineArticles.

What many people don't realize, however, is that there is another way to do this article marketing that will actually generate, not only traffic but will give your website additional weight in the eyes of the search engine's. It is basically a means in which you will capitalize on the success of other websites.

Almost all webmasters are looking for unique content. If you find websites that are similar to your own, write them an e-mail and offer to put a unique article on their website, one that you wrote yourself. Be prepared to send them a sample of your article writing abilities. You would be surprised at the number of webmasters who are willing to post your content on their website in exchange for a link back to your own site.

This is one of the easiest ways to get your link on to some top ranking webpages online. Although it may be tempting to game the search engines by using tricky methods, using a solid marketing practice, such as this can give your site the momentum it needs for it to rank well on its own.

SEO Primer - Keywords And The Long Tail

Search Engine Optimization is an essential component of any online business. Understanding some SEO basics will improve how your online storefront shows up in the search rankings.

This article covers the SEO tactic of keyword saturation. "Keyword saturation" is the process of focusing your website content around a number of predetermined words and phrases that relate directly to your site content. As an online seller, you should sit down and think about the words that relate directly to your store's content. Think about the products you're selling and how visitors would search for those products - think about which words and phrases they would type into a search engine.

As on online seller, these words and phrases will often be the product categories and specific products your store carries. That's where the notion of The Long Tail comes in.

The idea of "The Long Tail" is attributed to Chris Anderson (former editor of "Wired" magazine). The premise is that the future of sales is in "selling less of more". For keywords, this means putting a focus on generating highly targeted traffic. "Targeted traffic" refers to visitors you bring to your store who are looking for something very specific.

The three basic tiers of keywords are:
1. High-level: These are generals terms that identify a basic idea or category. For example, "hockey" is a high-level keyword. In terms of sales, high-level keywords can generate significant volumes of traffic. But, that traffic is not highly targeted and will convert at a low rate.
2. Mid-level: These are specific terms that narrow the high-level keywords. For example, "hockey jersey" is a mid-level keyword. It is more specific than a high-level keyword. In terms of sales, mid-level keywords generate lower volume than high-level keywords. But, that traffic is more targeted and will convert at a slightly better rate.
3. Long Tail: These are very specific terms. For example, "vintage 1976 Hartford Whalers jersey" is a Long Tail keyword. It is much more specific than either the high- or mid-level keywords. It describes a particular item. In terms of sales, Long Tail keywords generate relatively low volumes of traffic. However, the traffic generated is highly targeted and will convert at a much higher rate.

In order to generate traffic, you need to put attention to all three tiers. You should put more focus on Long Tail keywords than high-level and mid-level. However, you do need each. By averaging out your keyword saturation along each tier, you help ensure consistent traffic volumes while not sacrificing your targeted traffic.

So, when you are creating your meta content (description and keywords), be sure to include your Long Tail keywords along with your high- and mid-level ones. When you're writing your site copy, be sure to saturate it with each of your carefully selected keywords.

Creative Terrain of SEO Copywriter

SEO copywriter develops your content from scratch and when it is done, he is the one who make your business sell and soar high on the big virtual world. The creative text developer make use of different words in order to create an attractive text for your website, describing what type of services you give, what is the area of activity and who is the potential audience.

The think tank, as I call him, owing to the nature of job, is always thinking how to make you go in through the beautifully chiseled text pieces. Be cautioned if the text is rogue or not attractive, you are bound to fall with no page rank. SEO copywriter is well aware of your business profit motive and keeping this in mind, he drafts the unusual text. Besides, he is also aware what the crawler out there is thinking. Such creative boxes need to outsmart and outwit those search engine spiders in order to make you win over the web; and be nicely placed on top rank.

He is studying the site as to what position it holds, is the search engine rank consistent and practically speaking he is the brand ambassador, brand creator and marketer who loves to feed the spiders and spiders love are fed through him. A piece of advice out here! SEO copywriter should always keep in mind that he is not among the usual stuffs. He is much above that clan of regular wage earners; always on duty, even if they are not writing. He is checking the content, rewriting and keeping the content as fresh as ever.

And beyond this, the text is written in a specific manner --keyword rich or non-keyword rich -- to drive home the public opinion and give your website unique visibility and high page rank. SEO copywriter is well trained and foresighted about how the content should behave once in the grip of search engine.

What's more, he'll place you in a comfortable and appreciable position out there. SEO copywriter will develop your text after going through an interactive session with the business development team of your organization and once done, he will place it at an appropriate place to be fetched by spider.

2. Utilize automatic submission software. Manually submitting your articles on various publishing sites can be tedious and time-consuming. Save valuable time by having them automatically distributed. You will have to spend at least $20 for this service but the time you can save can be used in increasing the number of your articles.

3. Improve your keyboarding skills. Learn how to type fast so you can finish your articles quicker. There are various online keyboarding sites that can help you improve your skills for free.

4. Learn how to do "batching". This is the process of writing articles in batches so you can effectively manage your time and still be more productive.

5. Hire some help. To get more things done, some marketers are hiring either ghostwriters or article posters. Though this technique can cost you some money, it can increase the number of your submissions in no time.

6. Pick easy to write articles. Based on studies and various researches, "How to" and "10 tips" articles are the easiest and quickest type of articles to write as they only require a brief introduction and numbered list of your ideas or tips.

Branding Your Own Name As An Internet Marketer

Many people get online with dreams of making vast sums of money only to hide behind an alias of some kind.

Lets explore the reasons why new people online do that and then I will give you a few reasons why I think you will be better off using your real identity.

Like many people when I first started playing with the idea of becoming an internet marketer, I joined a few internet marketing forums to learn more about the different ways people make profits online.

When I first joined forums I didn't have much confidence that the opinions I was expressing made sense. So I used a silly alias.

You know the type of silly nickname I mean "fast cat", "crazy butcher", "money maker" etc.

In hindsight all the posts that I made under an alias were a wasted opportunity, so let me give you three reasons you should always use your real name or your business name as you build your profile: -

The first reason is that most people in the community can pick a "newbie" from a mile away. So don't try and fake it because it will not be impressive. If you are real and honest about your level of experience other people in the forums will help you and your knowledge will grow quickly.

The second reason I would site as a good reason to use your real name is that two years down the track when you have your own products in the market place and you are an expert in a particular niche your footsteps online will look real and you can actually track and prove what you have learned.

The third and most important reason to be real is that the steps you take online are in cement not sand. In other words, everything you do online can be looked at with just a few searches.

The website that I feature at the bottom of this article is an example of how I brand my business name, you may wish to take a look at it.

Profitable Article Marketing - Revealed - 5 High Impact Steps to Accelerate Your Article Marketing

Popularizing your website and promoting your products online cannot get easier these days even if you don't have the money to cover for your advertising cost. As long as you have the knack for writing and you can share valuable information to your potential clients, you can easily augment your traffic and your revenue by writing and submitting your articles to various publishing sites.

Here are the 5 high impact steps to accelerate your article marketing:

1. Know how to use intriguing titles to boost your clickthrough rate. Headlines like "The Best Kept Secret is Out", "Tiger Woods Hidden Techniques, Revealed", "What your Real Estate Agents Will Never Tell you", etc. can easily pique the curiosity of online users and will easily move them to check on your content.

2. Pack your articles with valuable information. Grabbing the attention of online users is tough but trying to sustain it is much tougher. You need to device effective techniques in order to convince your readers to read your articles until they reach your resource box so you can increase your conversion rate. This can easily be done by making your articles content-rich, useful, and loaded with valuable information that your readers truly need. Once online users see that you are a great source of information, they are most likely to click on your resource box, visit your website, subscribe to your email marketing list, and who knows, they might eventually buy your products and services!

3. Produce more articles. To easily boost the number of your inbound links which can tremendously help you improve your page ranking, you must be willing to multiply the number of your articles and your submissions. This can be done by staying motivated and focused all throughout so you can be more productive.

4. Consider your potential readers. You always have to keep them in mind when writing your articles as they are the ones that you would like to impress in order to succeed in this field. Strive to address all their needs and demands through your content and make your articles easy for them to understand by using their own language and simple terms as much as possible.

5. Proofread your articles before you make them available online. One of the best ways to earn the trust and confidence of your potential clients is to project a professional image online. This can easily be achieved by making sure that your articles are well-written, flow well, and free from any type of errors.

Clickbank Success With Article Marketing

When I first started promoting Clickbank products, I set up several Google AdWords campaigns. I can still remember the excitement, as I saw people were clicking my ads. Never mind that it's costing me $10 a day, I thought, I will easily make that back. I also remember the strange disappointment when I checked my Clickbank account and saw that not one single sale had gone through. Does that sound familiar?

Google AdWords just didn't work for me. I spent way more money than I ever made. The way forward, my friend, is article marketing. Here are some reasons why it beats AdWords into the ground:

  1. Writing articles will cost you no money, unless you want to pay someone else to do it for you. It will cost you some time, but you will find you get faster the more you write and there are tools to help you be even faster.
  2. Article Marketing works! OK, so it may still take a little while to see results, but it certainly is possible to make a better than full time income off of article marketing alone.
  3. You gain a portfolio of information that you can use later to create ebooks for your customers. It is great practice for this and will save you loads of time later.
  4. You are viewed as an expert in your field. The more you write on a subject the more your customers will respect you and the more likely they are to buy from you.
  5. It survives the competition. It's true there are many people doing article marketing right now, but unlike Google AdWords it is still highly possible to succeed.
  6. You don't have to know anything about the topic. With new software you can get your article written at the touch of a button.
  7. It's so much better than buying and following up leads that never get anywhere. If you hate selling, article marketing is for you.

The beginning and launch stages of your online business are often the most critical to your growth, and you need an effective marketing strategy to make it through the startup challenges. Here are some easy marketing strategies to get your business going with a strong start:

Starting a Business with an Attractive Website

Building an attractive website is important because it will introduce your customers to your products and services. Making sure the website is easy to navigate and browse is essential; you'll need to develop quality content and use relevant images to encourage your visitors to stay and explore. Remember that the longer your visitors stay on the site, the higher the chances that they'll be interested in buying something.

Starting a Business with a Free Newsletter

Offering free information in the form of a newsletter, eBooks, or even a set of articles is a great way to attract and retain customers. People are always searching for unique and interesting content, and you can start building a subscriber list that will be invaluable as your home business grows. An online business is the perfect opportunity to create an active subscriber list, and you can use this e-mail newsletter to present and sell your own or affiliate products later on.

You can start to build a community around your website or industry by launching a blog as well. This can attract traffic to your main site and encourage visitors to 'stay in touch' with your site for the long-term.

Starting a Business with Search Engine Optimization Tactics

Search engine optimization has become more important than ever, especially with the growth in sites that are so similar in scope and content. Earning the top rankings of the search engines will help you capture visitors as soon as they enter keywords in a search engine's search box; this works as completely free advertising for you, and will help you increase the chances of a sale when visitors can find you immediately.

Getting onto the first page of the major search engines is an important asset when you're starting a business online or offline, and can help you generate traffic with very little effort. The best way to do this is to optimize your site with relevant content, appropriate formatting, and make sure the design and overall presentation is search engine friendly.

Got Marketing Anxiety? 5 Steps to Become a Shameless Self-Promoter!

That's right, I said "shameless" self-promoter. Becoming a shameless self-promoter does not mean you aggressively approach everyone you meet giving them your elevator speech or sales pitch like a used car salesman. Instead, being a shameless self-promoter means you consciously and actively work at marketing your business. Promoting yourself and your business is not something to be ashamed or afraid of, but rather the key to a successful and thriving business.

There are many simple ways to subtly and politely keep your name in the minds of your prospects and customers with heart and integrity. Here are five easy steps you can take to become an active marketing agent for your business.

Step 1. Commit to a marketing plan that includes multiple strategies. There are many ways you can promote your business. If you are just getting started you might want to start with three simple marketing activities to avoid feeling overwhelmed. Then, when you are comfortable with those strategies you can add more. For example you might start with distributing an email newsletter, joining or becoming active in a business organization where you can learn and network, setting up a few speaking engagements, and doing some article marketing.

Step 2. Create and implement a marketing routine. You can keep your marketing efforts on track by outlining a simple marketing routine that you can easily manage and fit into your schedule. If you have an assistant some of these items can be delegated. An example of a marketing routine would look something like this:

Daily - include your personalized business email signature in every email you send out. Weekly - publish and send out an email newsletter to your clients and prospects. Bi-weekly - attend a business or networking event. Monthly - submit articles to your list of article bank or submission sites. Quarterly - host a free teleclass or set up a speaking engagement. Semi-annually - Update or add a new give away on your website to get visitors to opt-in to your mailing list. Annually - create a new marketing strategy for the next year.

Step 3. Include your brand on all your materials. It's important to create a consistent image or message that people will find on all your materials. For example, my tag line is "providing simple writing and marketing strategies for solopreneurs." This appears on all my business materials: website, letterhead, business card, seminar handouts, media kit, email signature, etc. This is another simple marketing strategy that helps clients and prospects identify you. You will want to use this "brand awareness" strategy with your company logo, your tag line, and your bio or author resource box.

Step 4. Educate yourself about current marketing strategies and trends. Don't be left out in the dark. Find out what marketing approaches other companies in your industry are successfully using, attend marketing classes or workshops, talk with other business leaders in your community, and subscribe to a marketing magazine, mailing list, or forum. These actions will help keep your knowledge current and your marketing strategies fresh and more effective.

Step 5. Don't give up and be consistent! Some marketing strategies may not produce results overnight, which is why it makes good sense to use a mix of approaches. Don't give up too quickly on any one approach, try to give it at least 6 months to a year. A general marketing rule of thumb is that it takes people an average of 7 to 10 times of seeing your message before they will take action or buy from you. The best advice is to keep consistently putting your name out there in a variety of ways, and it will pay off for you in the end.

The Structure of Marketing... Advanced Strategies to Help You Sell

Before we start discussing the Wonderful World of Marketing I would like to share an idea with you. Well, this is more of a principle than an idea. It's the principle of the structure of Marketing primarily the broad definition of Marketing and how it applies to small businesses as well as Fortune 500 enterprises.

The idea for this issue was bouncing around in my mind for more than 10 years after a conversation I had with a software company where I was serving as the VP of Business Development. The conversation was around business planning and Marketing.

We were developing the business plan and the subject of the day was Sales and Marketing, especially the hires and structure of the departments. The CEO that I was talking with was an ex Big Business (Fortune 500) executive with an old fashion look on business planning and Marketing. We got a bit stuck on what was marketing and how we would structure the departments.

The problem was simple. The CEO wanted to have a Marketing Department and a Sales department. He wanted them to be different cost centers, different departments running independently from one another. I wanted to have one department working together under one cost center. I thought the concept was simple and the decision very easy. I was wrong, very wrong.

What I considered a very easy decision stretched into an argument. I really did not understand what the problem was. After all, isn't Sales a part of Marketing? Isn't Marketing a Universal Term that explains how to "Market" products and services? How to place products and services out in the world? Isn't Sales just one part of that whole process? Well, as it turns out not many people know this and not many people see it this way.

For some reason, businesses, tradition, bosses, schools, have separated the sales from the marketing although in definition sales is just one part of marketing and if the whole marketing strategy is done correctly the sales is the easy part.

I can see the dilemma, after all, how do you teach sales at school to university students? I remember when I was in school Sales was a bad word. Nobody said "I'm majoring in Sales" or "I want to be a salesperson when I graduate". This is without realizing that everything in the real word is about sales, from your resume to your interviews, raises, promotions, owning your business, asking for investment or loans, everything.

Is there a practical business solution? Yes, education. Understanding marketing and what it is and how to use it is the name of the game. And creating a solid marketing plan and department capable of unifying sales and marketing is the goal. This will make sales a part of marketing and salespeople will love you for it. After all you will make their life easy by applying killer marketing techniques to help them close more sales and be more profitable. To do this you have to become a marketing expert, everything you do is marketing, the way you deal with employees, customers, investors, the bank, suppliers, everything.

What is your homework? Study marketing and everything that has to do with the subject including sales, public relations, product development, distribution, merchandising, packaging, everything. You will be surprised by the knowledge you gather and the profits you make.

Targeted Article Marketing - Create More Money In Article Marketing

Article marketing is the fuel for my system. Everyone has to have a fuel. Others have other fuels some of you have affiliate programs, some of you have ppc, some of you do crazy free traffic stuff that I dont understand. I have tried all of that stuff and none of it worked for me like all the crazy manuals tell me it would.

I bought special affiliate software and I spent money to do free traffic dont ask me how..but you probably already know! But them I stumbled on article marketing. I was trying to get high rankings for a niche web site and it worked. I was crazy with that I was writing one article per day and submitting it to like 80 article directories and then the next day I would write another article and submit it to like the same 80 it was crazy times.

Then I decided to start testing where the traffic was coming from and found that 95% of my traffic was coming from one group of five directories (I was not willing to set up tracking links for all 80, so I did it in groups).

Then I found that one directory was responsible for around 95% of that group and so now I dont submit to all of them that much, except when I have a new site and I need fast inbound links, so I can start ranking then it is really useful.

But now I write like 20 articles a day and that is the way I have gotten a lot of traffic with article marketing.

Some people will ask me how I do it how I have built a business on article marketing and then I tell them or they pay me to tell them and then they go out and write 10 articles look that wont work have you seen how many I write?
